Hi friends~
As Richard mentioned recently, The More Good Foundation is in the collaborative process of creating Christ.org–a new, comprehensive website about the ministry, life, and teachings of Jesus Christ. It’s magnificent to comtemplate.
As part of the website, we’d like to create music videos related to various aspects of Christ’s life, teachings, and ministry. We’re currently in the process of selecting the most loved songs and/or hymns about the Savior–including those by artists of other faiths. We’re currently considering the following:

I love Amazing Grace, especially the verse written by Harriet Beecher Stowe.

I hope you’ll have it sung in a relatively fast, happy tone, in celebration of the resurrection, rather than the slow, mournful tone that celebrates death. The BYU mens chorus has a nice rendition of it.
I love the primary song “He Sent His Son”
I love A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief
I love “This is the Christ.” I love the declaration of God. I always get goosebumps when I hear it!
“Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”… most definitely. This song makes me cry.
“I Stand All Amazed” is one of my favorites. It never fails to move me whenever I sing it or hear it. I also like “Oh Lord, My Redeemer” by Jeff Goodrich.
I can’t believe you guys got christ.org! How in the world did you manage that? I look forward to seeing what you’ll do with it.
There is an arrangement of “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” that the Tabernacle Choir sings on occasion that is SO powerful.
The entire Greater Than Us All CD by Kenneth Cope would be good, especially since the CD progresses through the life of Christ. I would suggest Greater than us all and More than just a boy in addition to the ones previously listed.

Sorry but I cannot recall who recorded this one originally. It has been around for quite a while.
Here are some that might be a bit more obscure but absolutely beautiful.
I love a song from “The Redeemer” (BYU choirs) using the text from Moroni 7…”And what is it that ye shall hope for…hope through the atonement of Christ” Another you might consider from this CD are “Behold this is the Way”, again beautiful text from the Book of Mormon.
A few more from BYU Choirs–”My Shepherd will Supply My Need” (concert choir on All Creatures CD) and “Lord make me an instrument” both beautiful. “Wondrous Love” by Women’s Chorus on Thanksgiving CD.
“Take time to be Holy” by the MoTab on Sound of Glory or “the Lord is my Shepherd” on Peace Like a River
Then two of my absolute favorite religious songs:
“Open Thou mine eyes” by the Cambridge singers on their Gloria CD. A prayer.
“If ye Love me” by Chanticleer on Out of this World, the most beautiful music I’ve heard to this text.
