A new Mormon Message called “Temples are a Beacon” tells the story of a family in the Pacific islands and their struggle to make their trip to the temple a reality. The message is based on talk given by President Thomas S. Monson during the April 2011 General Conference.
A Mormon/LDS temple is a House of the Lord in which certain ordinances or the gospel–or means to grow in a knowledge of Christ through promises and divine rites or commitment-processes–are performed by those holding the Savior’s authority.
