Homemade videos
June 12th, 2006 by Richard K Miller | Filed under Mormon, Videos. If you're new here, read more about the More Good Foundation. We help members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church) share their beliefs on the Internet. Learn more about what Mormons believe or talk with Mormons at LDS.net.
We’ve written before about several videos that are available on Google Video and YouTube. There are beautiful and inspiring videos from the Church.
Recently I’ve found videos of the “homemade” variety that are similarly good:
The recorded testimony of two Mormon missionaries in 1991.
Taylorsville seminary students say what they’re thankful for (More from Taylorsville seminary)
I’d love to see every seminary and institute program across the world produce a short video like this. It doesn’t take much expertise, but it’s very authentic.

Is the Church in favor of us members putting material copyrighted by Intellectual Reserve online? Although I love to see more Church-related video content available on the web, I’m concerned about copyright infringement. Any suggestions?
Aaron, these videos are authorized by the Church to be on Google Video and YouTube. Thanks for your comment.
Anyone know what happened to these videos? I was so happy to see these were on the net and on video.google, but now I go to view them and they say they are unavailable. Odd, do you have any ideas?
Mark, those videos weren’t officially published by the Church. My understanding is that the Church plans to publish the videos themselves. See here for more info:

Richard,
Phew! I am glad to hear this. Thanks for the update
I am happy it will be on lds.org.
