LDS Scriptures Plugin for Firefox

Scott Barber created a plugin that lets you search the LDS Scriptures from within the Firefox search box. After installing, choose “LDS Scriptures” from the list of search engines and fire away.

This plugin requires Firefox 2.0, which was just released this week.

Anyone have something similar for Safari for those using say AcidSearch?

That’s pretty neat. I wonder if I could make a similar Opera widget…in my abundant spare time…?

Clark & Mistaben: It ought to be pretty easy to do this with Safari and AcidSearch. (I suppose an Opera widget would be similar?) In AcidSearch, you could create a custom search channel and use this URL, with the actual search terms appended:

    http://scriptures.lds.org/en/search?search=

Actually it is even easier than that I discovered. Acid Search is intelligent enough to build a default search for you if you open its preferences with the page you want to add search to open.

So if you go to the LDS.org search page and create a new channel in Acid Search it does the rest for you.

Cool. I’d been too lazy to do it figuring there was something complicated but I was completely wrong.

It needs an ICO icon for it. I’m willing…looks pretty easy.

Dalin: I agree. Make the icon and lets get you two connected.

Does anyone know the name of the wordpress plugin that creates a list of your posts in a category instead of just displaying them one after the other? I want it so that when someone clicks on a category they just get a list of posts from that category.

I'm sure Ive seen one…and sifting through the WP site is a nightmare

What I want to do on my blog, is every few hours take the oldest post and move it to the
front of the queue, all automatically. Anyone know if there is a plugin that can do this or
a simple way to set up another plugin to do this (use my own feed perhaps)?
    Thanks.
