Videos podem ser uma maneira muito boa de compartilhar bom conteúdo sobre a Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias (Igreja Mórmon) na internet.

Muitas pessoas podem pensar que videos precisam ser muito bem feitos e requerem muito tempo para ser produzidos para ser eficaces, mas isto não é sempre verdade.

Dois exemplos de videos seguem.

O primeiro é sobre o Templo de Recife. É muito curto mas tem o valor de um sincero testemunho da importância do templo mórmon para um membro da Igreja que o filmou. Este tipo de video pode ser feito facilmente por muitos outros membros da Igreja mórmon.

O segundo é já mais elaborado e foi feito pela Igreja, mas vale a pena divulgar o link, é sobre o programa Mãos que Ajudam.

Como membros individuais da Igreja é quase impossível criar um video come este, mas este vídeo pode dar boas idéias para criar outrs mais simples e curtos sobre vários assuntos relacionados à Igreja.

Precisamos fazer mais nesta area e seguir o exemplo do nosso amigo que filmou o Templo de Recife e com suas palavras deixou um testemunho sobre a sua fé.

Someone asked me how to set up Microsoft Word so that she could translate and type some good thing about Mormonism and the Mormon Church in another language (not English). I suspect that other people may be interested in knowing how to do it.

This is a quick explanation but it should be enough. For more information you can visit the Microsoft site

To type text in another language, you should install and enable a keyboard layout.

1. In Microsoft Windows XP, click the Start button, (and Settings), and Control Panel.

2. Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options, and then click Regional and Language Options.

Note In Classic view, double-click Regional and Language Options.

3. Click the Languages tab, and then under Text services and input languages, click Details.

4. Under Installed services, click Add.

5. In the Input language list, click the language for which you want to install a keyboard layout.

6. If the language that you select has more than one possible keyboard layout, select the Keyboard layout/IME check box, and then, in the list, click the layout that you want.

7. If you want to be able to switch keyboard layouts by using the Language bar, under Preferences, click Language Bar, and then select the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prepared a new manual about the teaching of President Spencer W. Kimball. This manual will be used by the adults of the Mormon Church in their classes in 2007.

The last lesson of the manual is about sharing the Gospel. Among other things we read:

“There is a spiritual adventure in doing missionary work… It is exciting and rewarding. The hours, the effort, the wondering, all are worth it when even one soul expresses repentance and faith and a desire to be baptized…

“Sharing the gospel brings peace and joy into our own lives, enlarges our own hearts and souls in behalf of others, increases our own faith, strengthens our own relationship with the Lord, and increases our own understanding of gospel truths…

“The Lord has promised great blessings to us in proportion to how well we share the gospel. We will receive help from the other side of the veil as the spiritual miracles occur. The Lord has told us that our sins will be forgiven more readily as we bring souls unto Christ and remain steadfast in bearing testimony to the world…”

There is no mention of Internet missionary work in the manual, but the same principles applies to what we can do on the Internet for the people who don’t know well enough the Mormon Church: we will receive peace, we will increase our understanding of the Gospel, we will increase our faith, and more…

So, please consider being involved in online missionary work: it is an option even if you are shy! You may create a simple site, write a blog or help us write some new content or design a site.

Finalement dans le website officiel de l’Église de Jésus Christ des Saints des Derniers Jours (Église Mormone) elles ont été publiées les écritures en français en ligne.

Il y à quelques semaines ont été publiées les écritures dans espagnol, mais dans un récent communiqué nous avons su que finalement les écritures ont été publiées même en italien, français et allemand.

Finalmente nel website ufficiale della Chiesa di Gesù Cristo dei Santi degli Ultimi Giorni (Chiesa Mormone) sono state pubblicate online le scritture in italiano. Alcune settimane fa erano state pubblicate le scritture in spagnolo, ma in un recente comunicato abbiamo saputo che finalmente le scritture sono state pubblicate anche in italiano, francese e tedesco.

Several different people have posted nice videos about Mormon Temples on the web. These are just a few examples of videos that can be found searching for “Mormon Temple” on You Tube.

More can be done but this is a good start. In spite of all the anti-Mormons who spread trash on the Internet there are still a lot of good people that may be touched by these videos and become interested in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in Restoration of the Gospel.

Che cos’ è un blog ? Blog è l’abbreviazione di web log, un sito web dove vengono pubblicate notizie, informazioni, opinioni o storie di ogni genere.

Il blog è quindi una via di mezzo tra il forum di discussione e la homepage personale, che tiene traccia (log) degli interventi dei partecipanti.

Un blog può essere personale, un diario online costantemente aggiornato che tutti possono leggere, oppure un spazio sul web attorno al quale si aggregano navigatori che condividono degli interessi comuni.

I primi blog compaiono nel 1997 e poco dopo arrivano i siti che permettono di crearli senza specifiche competenze, come www.blogger.com e www.splinder.com. Su questi siti, basta iscriversi e scegliere l’aspetto grafico selezionando un “template”. Fatto questo si è già on line, senza aver scritto una riga di codice e senza pagare niente.

Alla Fondazione per il Migliore pensiamo che sia un a buona idea che i membri della Chiesa di Gesù Cristo dei Santi degli Ultimi Giorni (Chiesa Mormone) creino i loro blogs nei quali potranno parlare della Chiesa e delle loro esperienze e così condividere il vangelo con persone che stiano cercando informazioni sulla Chiesa. Ovviamente non si tratta di blogs ufficiali della Chiesa ma il potere della nostra testimonianza potrà toccare il cuore di qualcuno.

Seguono alcuni esempi di blogs in italiano di membri della Chiesa (se ne conoscete altri, per favore mandatemi il link). Sono ancora nelle fasi iniziali ma cresceranno col passare del tempo.

Esta e’ uma reportagem muito boa que foi publicada pelo journal o Estado de S. Paulo, un journal bem importante no Brazil. O título já diz muito: País tem quase 1 milhão de mórmons e Igreja não pára de crescer. Parabens para a journalista, Adriana Dias Lopes, ela falou simples, claro, e bem.
Vejam o que ela escreveu sobre o crescimento dos Mormons:

“No Brasil, nos últimos seis anos, o número cresceu cerca de 460% (hoje são 928 mil, em 2000 eram 199 mil). A última pesquisa sobre o trânsito de fiéis feita pelo Centro de Estatística Religiosa e Investigações Sociais mostrou que o porcentual de católicos no País, por exemplo, caiu de 73,9% para 67,2% em cinco anos.”

Sobre o arrependimento (esta é até ingrassada): “Se pecar, o mórmon não é absolvido, como os católicos. A redenção, conquistada por etapas, é por conta dele. O primeiro passo é reconhecer o próprio pecado.” (Sobre arrependimento)

Aqui fica clara a diferença (que eu posso confirmar por ter sido catolico antes de ser mormon).

Uma outra differença com a religião católica é explicata por esta colocação da reportagem: “A doutrina (mórmon) explica quase tudo. ‘Usamos muito pouco a palavra mistério’. ”

Sobre a família Adriana escreveu: ” Um dos exemplos mais impressionantes são as detalhadas orientações sobre como viver a harmonia familiar. Os mórmons têm um livro de 346 páginas com sugestões de convivência familiar, como leituras, assuntos para conversas e brincadeiras.

Este video e’ uma reportagem feita pela SBT acerca da Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias (os Mormons).

Obviamente, como todas as reportagens feitas por pessoas que não conhecem profundamente a Igreja, há algumas imperfeições e algumas coisas que não são explicadas como deveriam, mas eu diria que eles fizeram uma boa reportagem que vale a pena de ser vista e ate’ condivisa com outras pessoas.
